Andrea has practised yoga on and off for up to 20 years, attending a wide variety of yoga classes. The start of her own yoga journey came from someone asking her ‘Have you tried Yoga?’ From her first class she was hooked.  Finding that her soul found instant joy, peace and understanding.  It still remains part of her essential self-care kit, drawing on it for mental, emotional strength, confidence building and creating stability in her life.

Beginning yoga classes in the style of Iyengar with Ruth White, who studied herself under BKS Iyengar.  Now years later recently qualified in teaching in the style of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and continuing her passion of yoga in studying Yoga Nidra and Yin Yoga.   

By coming to Andrea's yoga classes, she combines these styles of yoga, influenced by Iyengar in alignment; the breath and flow of postures in Hatha and Vinyasa, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation.  Yoga Nidra for emotional healing of the body in opening the fascia for emotional release and restoration. 

Yoga is taught in the gentleness and compassion of yoga’s philosophy, guiding you in grounding, strengthening and deepening your own practice of yoga in making things better for yourself.

Yoga is not just about the postures, it has a depth of history and philosophy to it in connecting our spiritual body. Yoga is ‘Union’ of mind, body and spirit.
